About the team The City Inspectorate Branch is responsible for enforcement of the City’s standards and local laws, across building, community, public safety and environmental health compliance to protect safety and amenity for the City’s residents and visitors. You will be working within a supportive and driven team whilst having the support of great line leaders. Within this Branch you will be working in the Development Compliance unit which is responsible for ensuring that any building works across the City are compliant with relevant legislation and approvals. Investigate unlawful building work, dilapidated or dangerous building work and structures, inspect building works to assess the requirements of a Building Compliance Notice under the Residential Services Act, to confirm compliance with conditions of a building approval, and compliance inspections relating to sale of properties. About your new role The role will further develop and employ your comprehensive knowledge of the Plumbing and Drainage Act, Regulations, Codes and Standards to deliver high quality plumbing and drainage assessment and inspection services. You will utilise your industry leading skills, knowledge and abilities to deliver quality assessment services through the consistent application of legislation within the required time frames. Additionally, you will be excited about the hands-on aspect of the role as you conduct on-site inspections of plumbing and drainage installations. What you will be doing:
