Eurobodalla Shire Council

Eurobodalla includes 110 kilometres of coastline and 3,400 square kilometres of land, more than 80 percent of which is either national park or state forest, and enjoys a reputation as a water and nature lovers' paradise.

You'll find 83 beaches, four major river systems and lakes, islands and estuaries here – all of which are occupied by a rich variety of sea, bird and animal life.  

Our three major towns are Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma and they are connected by smaller villages that each have a strong rural and coastal heritage and indigenous culture.

The local economy was once based on dairying, forestry and fishing and is now driven by tourism, agriculture and fishing and retail and property industries and an emerging arts, health, education and wellbeing sector.

In 2012 around 36,000 people called Eurobodalla home and one million visitors holidayed here.
