Central Highlands Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Treatment Plant Operator to join the team based in Emerald.

In this exciting role you’ll have the opportunity to work with operators and develop your skills whilst undertaking planned and responsive activities to the water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations or reservoirs and provide hands on support in an outdoor environment.

We are looking for an effective team player who is eager to develop a career within water and wastewater whilst being supported by a well-developed team.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Eagerness to learn and work outdoors
  • Ability to work within a team and take direction
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • General Construction White Card
  • Cert III Water / Wastewater Treatment Operation or willingness to complete certificate
