Purpose of the role The City Life directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life, including family, aged, leisure and cultural services. To provide innovative and quality early education and care programs that are in line with the National Quality Framework and that reflect and support the interests of the children and families in the service. Garrigarrang Early Education and Care Centre at 2 Garrigarrang Avenue Kogarah is a state of the art, brand new centre overlooking Scarborough Park. It has generous facilities and an exciting outdoor play environment. Mascot and Hillsdale have a great reputation in the community and have recently refurbished environments. All centres are open from 7.30am – 6.00pm from 11 January 2021. Council has made a decision to operate the new Centre at Kogarah for 3 years and then to review the business operation. There may be opportunities for extension. These roles require commitment to inclusive practices that support families, cultural, socio-economic and individual situations. Council is looking for suitably experienced staff with appropriate training to work at the new Kogarah centre or at Mascot or Hillsdale. Essential Requirements
The new centre is not expected to be fully operational until the 11 January 2021. Most staff will be expected to commence in the week commencing 4 January. A small group will commence in December 2020 at Kogarah. Applicant may indicate their centre preference in their application although this cannot be guaranteed. What can we offer you?
