About the role

Council is seeking a motivated individual with proven experience in coordinating & delivering a range of both construction & maintenance activities across the water & wastewater network.  The successful applicant will plan & supervise the safe completion of daily works according to plans and specifications.  This is a hands on role and requires the Team Leader to undertake general labouring duties alongside the team

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of techniques and guidelines for construction and maintenance activities relevant to water and wastewater infrastructure.
     
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to stimulate a high level of performance and foster teamwork within a small team.
     
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to undertake minor calculations associated with project budgets and cost controls.
     
  • Basic keyboard and computer skills with knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
     
  • Ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines.
