Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Mechanic. Reporting directly to the Plant & Fleet Coordinator, you will support Broken Hill City Council in delivering valued services to the community. The role will conduct mechanical duties for heavy vehicle and plant to ensure Council’s transport fleet, plant and associated equipment are maintained to a safe, efficient and serviceable condition. Job Description We are looking for a skilled mechanic with trade qualifications and recent experience in heavy vehicles and plant. You should display strong administrative and computer abilities, as well as excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the capacity to efficiently manage their tasks and adopt a proactive attitude towards their work and responsibilities.
