Multi Purpose Labourer Water Sewer (Evans Head)

Join the RVC Water Sewer Team 

The primary purpose of the role is to provide a high level of service in the maintenance, construction and repair of water, sewer and drainage infrastructure in line with Council’s delivery and operational plans.  

Key Accountabilities:

• Undertake general and trades related labouring duties in the maintenance, construction and repair of water, sewer and drainage infrastructure
• Assist with CCTV inspections and associated cleaning of infrastructure
• Use and maintain small plant and hand tools in a safe and effective manner
• Set out works and establish line and level for construction purposes
• Assist in preparing drawings showing locations of mains, structures and fittings 
• Assist with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems
• Be available for 'on call' duties including afterhours and emergency call outs

We are looking for 

A motivated individual with a positive attitude and a safety-first focus. Someone who has - 

• Construction or trade labouring experience
• Understanding of Council's Water and Sewer Infrastructure
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team

We are seeking someone who has or is willing to obtain:

• SafeWork Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
• Current Class MR Driver Licence

About the Role

Full time: 76-hour fortnight

Salary: Range from $52,452 to $60,320 pa + 11% super
