The Role

The Administration Trainee will assist the Business Support Staff, Management and Supervisory Staff in Waste & Environment providing general administrative support and customer service in a timely manner, while completing their traineeship in Administration.  

The role involves attending to telephone and counter enquires, various data entry tasks, customer service requests, purchase orders and invoices, updating various reports, prepare agendas and take minutes for meetings, input timesheet data for payroll as required and to carry out other tasks as required.  

Key Selection Criteria 

  • Interest or understanding in the provision of customer service specifically incorporating organisational skills. 
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well a knowledge of Microsoft based computer packages. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to communicate with a broad range of people and work as part of a team 
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
