Payroll Supervisor (Fixed Term) (Dalby)

About the Opportunity

Council is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to oversee the preparation, processing and payment of salaries and wages and the submission of payroll returns to external agencies.

This position is based in Dalby and is fixed term until 31 January 2025.

Reporting to the Coordinator Human Resources, you will be:

• Managing a regional team of Payroll Officers to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of payroll services with a strong customer service focus
• Managing the coordination and facilitation of the workflow and provisions of a wide range of payroll services
• Conducting audits to ensure compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analysing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
• Ensuring tax rates, pay rates and other values are applied correctly, including determining new rates of pay and retrospective adjustments following Award and EBA variations

The successful applicant will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, statutory payroll legislation governing superannuation, taxation, payments and deductions and other relevant policies
