Fixed-term till February 2023 Waihōpai Invercargill is New Zealand's southernmost city and the heart and hub of Southland. We're looking for two (2) experienced Team Leaders to join our Compliance team on a fixed-term basis until February 2023 - one role is Team Leader (Animal Control) and the other role is Team Leader (Parking and Environmental Compliance). In these busy and varied Team Leader roles, you will work closely with our community in the day to day delivery of these services and you will be responsible for ensuring their outstanding delivery. Leading and mentoring your own team, you will provide support and advice on implementing legislation, bylaws and standards while providing outstanding service to all of our customers and community. Working alongside the team, you won't be afraid to get your hands dirty! You will have experience working collaboratively with different community groups and be confident in developing community programmes and initiatives. Working in a challenging Compliance environment, your proven investigation skills will be crucial, as will your ability to understand and follow legal and organisational processes. To be successful in this role you will have:
A background in enforcing legislation is preferred but if you have worked within a quality management system, have proven customer service skills and you are prepared to undergo training in enforcement and legislation interpretation we would still like to hear from you.
