Manager Environment & Regulatory Services



We have recently restructured our organisation and are recruiting to build a sustainable management leadership layer in our organisation. Our people are our most important asset and are central to achieving the goals our community have set. We are building on what we have done to date and leading strongly into 21/22 FY. We are delivering people improvements, systems improvements, leadership improvements and infrastructure improvements to continue to bring the community services they expect.

We are looking for leaders who can inspire direction and purpose, lead and manage change and lead and develop people. Do you translate change initiatives into practical strategies and bring staff along for the journey, provide coaching and leadership in times of uncertainty and difficulty for staff. We have a new look Operation Plan for 21/22 and we are looking for leaders who can translate organisational vision and strategy into operational goals and build their sections understanding of their contribution. We are looking for someone who sets high standards and challenges goals for themselves and others and who is keen to collaborate with colleagues to create a robust senior management structure.

We have recently introduced a new Manager Environment and Regulatory Services into our new Management structure and are eagerly waiting for our new leader to apply.

About the role

The Manager Environment and Regulatory Services leads and manages a multi-disciplinary team to deliver customer focussed environmental and regulatory services, programs and activities. The role provides strategic environmental advice and direction across Council, and covers a breadth of disciplines including environmental assessment, regulation, health and natural resource management in addition to waste and sustainability.
