About the role:

Mackay Regional Council is searching for a passionate Branch Supervisor to join our Mackay Regional Council Libraries Operations Team.

About the opportunity:

To contribute effectively to the provision of efficient and reliable library and information services to the wider Mackay community, to coordinate the day-to-day operations of a branch library and oversee the delivery of the Library Courier service. You will work to assist in the overall staffing across our 6 library locations, and manage assets associated with Gordon White Library specifically.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Team leadership experience including performance management, capability development and workforce planning.
• Experience working in a customer service or library environment.
• Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card.  Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy.  If you currently do not hold a Blue Card, we recommend you commence the application process when you apply for the position.
