The Opportunity

This position will see you working as part of the Technical team at the Clocktower Centre and council facilitated events. The Clocktower Centre is a flagship of arts and cultural activity and consists of a 500-seat theatre, function and meetings rooms, and a café.

You will be responsible for delivering frontline service with regards to technical support, in a mainly live performing arts context, within the City of Moonee Valley’s cultural facilities and outdoor events.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to a positive professional culture within the Technical and wider Operations team of the Arts & Culture unit;
  • Ensuring that venue equipment is set-up, used and packed down as per safe working policies and procedures; and,
  • Operating technical equipment including audio, lighting, mechanical and audio-visual equipment.

Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to a live theatre venue in the areas of lighting, sound, stage and flying, and audio visual;
  • Demonstrated experience with equipment maintenance;
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously;
  • Availability to work rostered shifts that can occur Monday – Sunday, between 7:00am and midnight; and,
  • Current and valid Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
