Here at te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland Council), we’re always on the look-out for top talent to join our team! We have a range of casual, permanent part-time and full-time vacancies that will appeal to anyone with a background in Lifeguarding, Learn to Swim, Fitness instruction, Recreation, and Customer Service. You may even have experience in one area but are looking to upskill across multiple roles. Our Pool and Leisure centres are Auckland-wide, so there’s definitely a location to suit you!

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

Your passions can include aquatics, fitness, as well as people and community. In joining a proactive and dynamic team, you’ll be a keen team player with a flexible approach and great communication skills. 

 

Holding a REPs qualification is essential to become a Fitness Instructor however, if you’re a strong swimmer, have a dedicated work ethic, and a great attitude, we can provide training in all other roles. 

 

Our great people come from a wide range of backgrounds and industries.  If you have desirable cross-transferrable skills that come from a COVID-19 impacted industry such as Tourism, Aviation, or Hospitality, this could be an ideal new career opportunity for you.
