What we are looking for:

Do you have an excellent eye for detail, a great work ethic, positive attitude and experience working in a Local Government or Government environment?  An opportunity exists for the right person to support the Director of Organisational Services.

We are looking for someone with exceptional administration and diary management skills as well as:-

  • ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders
  • ability to anticipate and deal with issues where directions are not clearly defined
  • high level of emotional intelligence
  • excellent communication skills
  • diplomacy
  • strong initiative with a focus on meeting deadlines and stakeholder needs
  • natural self-confidence
  • Initiative with a willingness to go beyond the position objective and standards on occasion
  • research and writing skills

Our must haves in the successful person are:

  • Demonstrated successful experience working with a CEO/Director or equivalent senior executive
  • High degree of ethics, integrity and professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage up when required
  • A Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence is essential.

What’s nice to have:

  • Qualifications in business, secretarial or administration areas
  • Local Government experience as an executive assistant
