About the Role

As Team Leader Sports Facilities you'll lead a small team providing them with day-to-day instruction, guidance and support to effectively and efficiently deliver one of Council's key services.

A key aspect of your role will be to ensure the preparation and maintenance of sporting fields, recreation areas and garden facilities is completed safely, on-time and to the required standards while working as a hands-on member of the team. This is an interesting role that will see you will work on a range of quality sporting fields in the Ryde Local Government Area.

About You

You bring w ith you a wealth of experience and knowledge relating to sportsgrounds, recreation and parks maintenance. You bring with you a professional, positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to use initiative and work with a level of autonomy in your decision making onsite. You're an excellent communicator who motivates others to achieve set targets.

In addition you will have:

  • Certificate III in Greenkeeping, Parks & Gardens or Horticulture, or similar
  • Extensive experience in the maintenance of sporting fields, including use of the associated mechanical tools and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate the work of a small team
  • Sound understanding of WHS procedures as they apply to outdoor work with experience organising work in a safe and professional manner
  • Basic level of computer literacy and written communication skills to carry out the record keeping needs of the position

Your salary will be in the range of $61,479 to $72,917 p.a. + superannuation + To and From' work vehicle provided. Your commencing salary will depend on relevant experience and qualifications.
