Mansfield Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of Youth Project Officer Disaster Recovery aged between 16-25. The role will facilitate input to the overall project direction by local young people through the project reference group and developing engaging local projects and activities to aid disaster recovery work from bushfires.

Reporting to the Coordinator Economic Development Tourism, Events & Youth Service, the Youth Project Officer Disaster Recovery is responsible for participating in the Coalition Partnership of the Future Proof Project including in the regular community of practice meetings, facilitating training for local young people in collaboration with project lead YACVic. The officer will work alongside other partners to assist local young people in accessing and undertaking qualifications and supporting young people to take on traineeships and jobs in line with their qualifications.

Remuneration will be based on Band 3 classification $63,377.60 per annum ($32.0737 per hour ) plus superannuation of the Mansfield Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2022.

This role is a Fixed Term, Full Time contract till December 2024.
