Position Purpose

This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) Part 139, Aerodrome Manuals and the applicable Safety Management Systems in place at the East Kimberley Regional Airport (EKRA).

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required for the role

Essential

  • Demonstrated previous experience with gardening, small plant and maintenance duties;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a team environment;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, other employees and members of the public and in the resolution of routine and usual matters;
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and complete in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Licences

  • Current unrestricted WA “C” Class Drivers Licence;
  • Current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) (or ability to obtain);
  • Current Aerodrome Reporting Officer & Aerodrome Works Safety Officer Certificate from an approved authority (or ability to obtain);
  • Current Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency (or ability to obtain);
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain);
  • Current White Construction Safety Card (or ability to obtain).

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a similar role;
  • Understanding of Local Government policies and procedures.

Vaccinations

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • ADT (Diphtheria, Tetanus and Whooping Cough)
