About the role

This position is a full-time role in the Recreation Services team based at the Moruya Administration Office. The Recreation Planner will lead development, implementation and review of Council’s recreation and community facility plans, plans of management and associated recreation infrastructure priorities.

 

Your main duties will include:

  • Implementing and reviewing the Recreation and Open Space Strategy 2018 (ROSS) and Master Plans.
  • Facilitating and leading development and prioritisation of recreation infrastructure requirements.
  • Overseeing and preparing Plans of Management for Recreation facilities, parks and reserves.
  • Providing superior customer service and undertaking community engagement, while reporting to Council and committees as required.
  • Developing collaborative relationships with key sport, recreation and leisure stakeholders.

Salary information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $102,820.91 to $113,326.32 gross per annum consisting of:

  • $92,631.45 to $102,095.78 base salary
  • $10,189.46  to $11,230.54 superannuation (calculated at 11%)

 A fully maintained Council leaseback vehicle (including full private usage) is available with this position.

To excel in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Planning, Management or Sport and Recreation or other equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of relevant planning legislation and management of Crown Land.
  • Planning of infrastructure projects.
  • High levels of autonomy, enabling timely delivery of information.
