The Opportunity Council is seeking part-time applicants for the role of Waste Service Operator - Transfer Station Attendant (x 3). The position operates on a rotating roster of a minimum 19 hours per week with some work required on weekends and public holidays. Waste Service Operators (Transfer Station Attendants) assist with the day-to-day operations of the Rural City of Wangaratta (RCoW) Transfer Station Networks (Wangaratta, Eldorado, Markwood, Moyhu) in accordance with Council requirements and best practice guidelines. This role is primarily aimed at assisting residents and small to medium business within the municipality maximise the amount of recyclable material diverted from the waste stream to recycling. Knowledge of Waste Transfer Station operations is highly desirable, however applicants demonstrating a willingness to learn and a proven commitment to the provision of courteous and professional customer service will be considered highly.
