About the branch
The Engineering, Design and Standards Branch is responsible for infrastructure engineering, design, survey, specifications, asset standards, electrical infrastructure and contributed assets across all customer and community facing infrastructure classes.
About your new role
The Construction Inspector is a key part of the team which manages the assessment of development applications and supervision of development delivered infrastructure. The team also supervises the construction of developer contributed water supply and sewerage assets, including trunk infrastructure. The Construction Inspector is an exciting position primarily managing the on-site component of the team's work and providing input on construction matters during the design phase.

Working in development assessment is challenging and requires compliance with strict legislative timeframes and assessment rules. To be effective in this position, you will need to be a capable decision maker and understand the relevant standards which apply to water and sewer. You will also be confident on a construction site and comfortable with resolving design and construction issues in a timely manner.
