We deliver 21 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents.  

The Role

This is a unique opportunity join a team with a positive risk culture and the opportunity to partner with a diverse range of services and functions to provide support, advise and reporting to ensure continuous improvement. In the role of Enterprise Risk Advisor, your responsibilities include advising and supporting Council functions in the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of function as you support business unit leaders to articulate and evaluate risks to inform good decision-making, with the goal of reducing enterprise risks throughout the organisation. 

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintain the Enterprise Risk Framework, conducting profile reviews, risk reporting, and providing advice.
  • Customise risk reporting to suit the needs of various audiences appropriately.
  • Prepare quarter risk reporting for a variety of audiences. 
  • Offer advice, education, and training to staff to enhance risk awareness.
  • Contribute to developing modern risk management processes to foster a responsive risk management culture.
  • Support strategy objectives and action plans.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

You will have

  • Appropriate qualifications in Business, Risk Management, or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Successful track record in Risk Management and/or HR and Safety.
  • Valid C Class Drivers’ Licence.
  • Prior experience in facilitation and/or training.
  • Previous advisory experience within a complex organisational setting

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $87,786 (Grade G, Step1) + 11% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
