About the team

We’re on the lookout for a Technical Officer Painting with a minimum of 8 years industry experience to join our team based at Ashmore Depot – Gold Coast. The team specialises in the painting of all the City’s assets as well as graffiti removal and pressure cleaning.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Planning, organising, and coordinating field-based resources and contractors to undertake planned, reactive, and remedial maintenance of City Assets such as administration buildings, libraries, sports venues, swimming pools, community centres, urban precincts and parks.

  • Supervising a team of painters within the field.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Preparing and arranging for rectification of defects and non-conforming works.

  • Providing technical, procedural, and operational advice to trade personnel and customers.

  • Analysing, researching, and resolving building, trade, technical, operational, procedural, quality, service or maintenance problems as they arise and promptly provide effective solutions.

  • Assist in related investigations and condition assessments.

We’re looking for people who have: 

  • Certificate III in Painting.

  • Foreman experience.

  • C Class Drivers Licence.

  • General Construction Induction White Card.

  • Quick learner who takes initiative with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.

  • The ability to manage and prioritise your time effectively.

  • Experience with MS Office and web-based systems.
