Plant Operator - Slasher (Maintenance) (Tara)

About the Opportunity

Council is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to undertake maintenance and construction duties through the skilled operation of a Slasher.

This position is based in Tara.

Reporting to the Works Supervisor, you will be:

• providing a high standard of operating skills on civil construction and maintenance plant and other equipment;
• effectively using your communication skills to ensure an understanding in maintaining assigned equipment;
• completing allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames; and
• being aware and adhering safe work practices to ensure all risks are minimised.

About yourself

The successful applicant will have:

• a verification of Competency in the operation of various types of plant and equipment;
• experience in servicing minor repairs and pre-start inspection of various types of earthmoving equipment; and
• experience in the operation of various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools and equipment in Construction and Maintenance
