Plant Operator - Grader (Construction) (Chinchilla)

About the Opportunity

You will be part of the Works Construction team responsible for maintaining Council's roads and infrastructure in Chinchilla.

Reporting to the Works Supervisor, you will:

• Maintain Council's roads and infrastructure networks through the operation of civil construction plant;
• Provide a high standard of skill of operating skills as a maintenance grader;
• Be aware of and adhere to safe work practices; and
• Complete allocated tasks within agreed time frames.

About yourself

The successful applicant will have:

• an open ‘MR’ class drivers licence required or willingness to obtain;
• a Heavy Rigid (HR) Queensland Drivers Licence would be desirable;
• a Construction Induction White Card;
• a strong awareness of relevant safety standards and requirements;
• good time management skills and the capability to complete allocated tasks while working within a team;
• MUTCD Level 1 and/or 2 (desirable); and
• be physically fit and enjoy manual labour.
