Team Leader – Early Childhood Teacher
Khancoban Preschool



Beautifully placed in the village of Khancoban, Snowy Valleys Council is seeking a committed and passionate Early 
Childhood Teacher to lead their preschool service. This is an independent role, that will have support from the business to ensure that the care and education being delivered is representative of the value of the greater Early Childhood Team.

The preschool is located on over half an acre of garden, with many natural play areas for the children to explore. The main building has a cottage feel and is central to all Khancoban has to offer. This position is ideal for educators at all stages of their careers, with wonderful families to welcome you to a well respected service.

The service is open three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Time is also provided for programming and observations. Additional hours at other services may be available.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

  • ACECQA approved Teaching degree or be able to demonstrate they are actively working towards this qualification.
  • Contemporary experience in a supervisory role or extensive technical experience with demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Contemporary experience in implementing children’s services programs.
  • Knowledge of Australia Children Services Delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work, manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team.
  • Current First Aid qualification
  • NESA Accreditation or working towards
  • Able to meet the requirements for Nominated Supervisor.

SALARY

Salary will be paid in accordance with the Snowy Valleys Council Salary System at Grade 7 starting from $38.54 per hour (gross) plus 11% superannuation, negotiable based on skills, experience and education.
