About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in this newly created role working as part of the Business Improvement & Customer Relation Department of the City Planning & Environment Directorate.

As the Planning Portal Coordinator, some of your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing administrative support to the Manager Business Improvement & Customer Relations together with the Senior Coordinator Building & Development Advisory Service for the operation of the new digital services provided through the NSW Planning Portal together with new associated tasks and workflows
  • Providing administrative support to staff members in the Department for the new clearing house meeting process
  • Updating and maintenance of databases
  • Maintenance of records and files
  • Answering telephone, email and letter enquiries
  • Filing of documentation and records
  • Organisation of meetings including booking
  • Accurate Minute taking
  • Processing and tracking of requisitions and invoices
  • Attendance and participation in Department meetings
  • Undertake other administrative duties, tasks and projects as required

As a member of the Business Improvement & Customer Relations Department and the Development Advisory Service Team you will need to ensure that the service provided is customer focussed and of a high quality in order to meet the needs of the community, applicants and developers of the City of Ryde and as such it is an excellent opportunity to showcase your customer service, technical, analytical and administrative skills.

Key requirements

  • Higher School Certificate, appropriate TAFE or similar qualification
  • Excellent word processing / computer skills
  • Data entry experience
  • Records management experience
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Covid-19 vaccinated

Previous experience in Local Government operations in particular development and planning matters would be desirable.

Your commencing annual salary will range from $58,333 - $71,505 + superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
