Executive Officer - Community & Liveability


About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager (Community & Liveability), you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation of strategic projects and initiatives to support the achievement of the Community & Liveability Division objectives;
  • Researching, preparing and submitting grants and funding submissions to Government and Industry to support Council in the provision of community projects, initiatives and services;
  • Preparing and administering high level communication including correspondence, memos, presentations, reports, grant submissions, project plans and schedules; and
  • Consulting, liaising and influencing internal /external stakeholders on a range of projects, initiatives, issues, policy directions and operational matters in order to achieve Community and Liveability goals and objectives.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Ability to successfully manage and deliver projects and initiatives to support the achievement of strategic goals and objectives;
  • Ability to build positive and strategic relationships with internal and external key stakeholders at all levels in order to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes in a complex and dynamic environment;
  • High level interpersonal communication skills and exceptional verbal and written communication and organisational skills; and
  • The ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize tasks to effectively deliver to deadline and achieve organisational outcomes.

Applicants must be fully vaccinated (received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine recognised by the Therapeutic Goods Administration or as determined by Queensland Health (Public Health Direction)), or be able to provide evidence of any contraindication in accordance with the Public Health Direction, or be willing to be fully vaccinated before commencement. You agree that you will comply with Council's COVID-19 Vaccination - Organisational Policy.
