Employment Status - Fixed term contract for 3 months

Days & Hours of Work - 38 hours per week

Band Level 4 - $67,152.43 p.a. + 10% superannuation

Location - Multiple across Bayside

Our Opportunity:

We are looking for suitable applicants with qualifications in the regulatory field or experience in a parking enforcement role. To be successful in this position, you will need sound knowledge of parking legislation, good judgement and high-level communication skills and a customer service-focus. We are seeking applicants who also demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with members of the public and to work effectively with fellow Parking Officers.
  • Availability across a seven day roster which can include evening, weekend and public holiday shifts.
  • Experience in working with the general public in order to provide information, safety education and customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills to patrol designated areas according to standard operating procedures.
  • Excellent observation skills to make sound judgement, assess safety risk and to interpret parking regulations.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Road Safety Road Rules 2017.
  • Significant experience in a high-pressure customer service environment and effective verbal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in Law Enforcement, Justice Administration, Public Administration, Customer Service or other related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and gain cooperation from staff within the team
  • Ability to manage personal time and organise own work to efficiently complete tasks or achieve objectives, while meeting Council and client expectations.
  • A valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • A satisfactory pre-employment medical check
