Our Parks and Recreation team are looking for a Park Ranger to work in Invercargill's fantastic parks and reserves. If you are looking for an opportunity where you will not only contribute to the improvement of our region's ecology but also make a real-life difference to the community, then apply today.

We are looking for a person who is biodiversity savvy, and who can work as part of our team to inspect and maintain facilities and tracks, prevent and minimise damage to the environment including pest control, provide visitors with information and assistance during regular patrols, deal with day-to-day queries and see to the general tidiness of our parks and reserves. While interacting with the public your tact and patience will be invaluable. Educating and engaging the public is another exciting aspect of this role that will utilise your excellent communication skills.

Experience and a recognised formal qualification in Parks/Recreation or similar would be an advantage. We also require you to have a full NZ driver's licence. You'll be physically fit with a great work ethic and sound commitment to "getting the job done".

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, and because our parks are open every day of the week, you must be willing to work a roster that includes regularly working weekends and may include public holidays.
