About the Role

An opportunity exists to join WDRC as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will manage a team of nearly 30 employees (6 of which are direct reports) and have a broad remit, including:

  • Providing leadership and coordination in financial reporting & operational accounting;
  • Developing & driving continuous improvement of financial processes, analysis & forecasts;
  • Managing all tax compliance (including FBT & GST) and calculating tax; and
  • Providing financial information to influence the senior management team with informed decision making.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a technically strong, senior financial leader, ideally with a diverse background across a range of mid-sized organisations (e.g. public, private, non-for-profit).  In addition, you will have a track record of building high performance teams with an innovative approach to improving financial processes, analysis and forecasts. 

As the Deputy CFO, you will possess an articulate communication style and be highly adept at managing multiple priorities whilst operating autonomously.  You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Economics or Finance and hold CPA or CA qualifications.
