Opportunity: The Shire of Denmark is a high performing local government in the Great Southern. The Shire is an industry leader in terms of workplace culture and employee satisfaction. We are looking for someone to join our team and contribute to the positive workplace already established. The Director Corporate and Community Services, will be one of two senior positions reporting directly to the CEO. The position will be responsible for improving the Shire’s approach to financial management, and managing corporate risk, whilst optimising budget and resource allocations. The successful applicant will play a key role in building and maintaining a strong corporate culture, whilst inspiring, motivating and mentoring a multi-disciplinary team. We’re looking for a strategist that can work at a tactical level, build successful and lasting relationships with all stakeholders and has extensive experience balancing community priorities and business outcomes. The successful candidate needs to be someone that can embrace new ideas and apply innovation to drive business improvement. The position will be suited to a leader that has very high standards, strong personal values and takes great pride in their work. In addition to the attributes aligned to the Shire’s values and culture, the selection will be based on your ability to demonstrate you have the capabilities to deliver the key responsibilities, whilst being motivated to achieve the performance summary criteria and be suitably experienced and tertiary qualified. The position will be offered on a performance-based contract (up to 5 years) with a cash salary up to $140,000 plus allowances, benefits and the Denmark lifestyle.
