About the Role

Based at Jandowae Home and Community Care, you will be responsible for the provision of quality care to the elderly and disabled.

The successful applicant will:

  • Perform the duties of the Personal Care Attendant within an established and agreed framework according to individual care plans and work lists. This may vary and include duties such as domestic assistance, home maintenance, personal care, social support and transporting of clients depending on the needs of the client;
  • Assist clients to be comfortable, independent, happy and secure in their home and the community;
  • Ensure clients have a positive experience when using the service;
  • Enable positive effective relationships to be established and be maintained both internally and externally; and
  • Effectively solve problems and potential disputes in an empathetic and effective manner when required.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • compassion, empathy, patience and respect for clients and colleagues;
  • a Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care Work);
  • a Yellow Card or the willingness to obtain;
  • a current Driver's Licence;
  • a dedication towards delivering high quality service in all areas of work including, individual care plans, domestic assistance, home maintenance, personal care, social support and transporting of clients;
  • excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in building positive relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • high ethical standards and professionalism; 
  • basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook; and
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail.
