Manager Community Development 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

 

Lead various portfolios within the Community Services Directorate.

This is an exciting time to join the Community Services Directorate and be a key stakeholder in leading and managing teams and portfolios, to deliver projects and programs to the local community, including a range of community programming at the newly developed JD Hardie Youth & Community Hub.

 

The Role

The successful applicant will be an exceptional people-focused leader who can develop and promote the services the Town of Port Hedland has to offer. You will require extensive experience in community development, service delivery, project management, facilities management, budgeting and meaningful community engagement. A passion for community engagement is essential in this hands on role, as is a demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritise and plan ahead.

 

Work Related Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment, as well as possess:

  • Relevant degree in Community Development, Business, Management and/or Social Sciences, or extensive demonstrated experience.  
  • Current ’C’ class drivers licence
  • Current Working with Children Check Card
  • Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance
