The procurement team has recently been formed to provide procurement expertise and service to Fraser Coast Regional Council. The procurement team consists of the Procurement Manager, Procurement Coordinator and is now looking for two Procurement Business Partners to service all of council’s procurement needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated persons to work in a team environment. 

 

What we are looking for:

Are you a procurement specialist with expertise in contract management?  Are you fully conversant in legislation, legal obligations and local government processes relating to procurement practices? 

The successful applicant will have the ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders regarding their procurement requirements to align their business objectives with procurement compliance and best practice sourcing strategies. 

You will also be expected to manage all aspects of the procurement lifecycle for, or in support of the department, including pre-market assessments, market testing (e.g. quotes, tenders, EOI’s, etc.), evaluations, contract awarding and supplier/contractor performance management.

The positions are based in Maryborough, but these positions will be required to work out of Hervey Bay offices on occasions.

What you should have to apply:

  • AQF level 4 or above in Procurement & Purchasing; or relevant field and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in tendering processes, contract implementation, negotiations and whole-of-life contract management
