Situated in one of Sydney’s most beautiful and prime locations, Hunter’s Hill Council is a great place to work. We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll and Creditor Officer to join our friendly and collaborative team.

About the role

As part of the wider Finance and Corporate Strategy team, the Payroll and Creditor Officer will be responsible for accurate and efficient processing of Council’s payroll ensuring compliance with legislative and statutory changes. The role also has responsibility for the processing of invoices.

Reporting to the Director Finance and Corporate Strategy, you will:

  • Process an end to end pay run
  • Prepare payroll reports
  • Respond to, support and resolve payroll and creditor queries
  • Support the Manager Human Resources and Financial Accountant as required


About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated payroll processing experience, including computerised payroll system
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant Australian payroll legislation, including superannuation, taxation and relevant employment law
  • Ability to meet time restrictions and deadlines couple with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
