Team Leader - Water

Mackay Regional Council is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader for within Water Network program.

We are offering a permanent full-time position with a 9-day fortnight roster (every 2nd weekend is a long weekend!) based out of the Paget Depot. Be home with your family every night and gain the work/life balance and job security you've been searching for!

This key position in the Water Network program is to lead a team involved in the operations and maintenance of Council water and sewer infrastructure in line with organisational direction. This position requires a leadership style that has a focus on safety, that will influence good practice in the team and self-motivation to cross train all team members to create a high level of skills and promote a high performing team environment.

 

The successful applicant will have the following knowledge and skills:

  • Current QLD ‘C’ Class driver’s license
  • Current General Construction Safety ‘White/Blue’ card
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing water infrastructure maintenance projects, including a high level of skill and understanding in maintaining water services and pipe infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in water and sewer industry including in a supervisory role
  • Demonstrated experience cross training a team to create a high level multi skilled team to complete all tasks required

  • Permanent full-time position
  • Annual base salary range from $78,425 - $86,007 plus allowances and overtime as applicable
  • Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply)
