Are you an HRIS expert interested in establishing the foundations for the effective management of HR systems and the governance of HR data integrity? Cbcity, NSW’s largest Council, currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HRIS specialist to join our HR team and build an HR systems capability in People and Performance. With SAP HR experience and advanced Excel and reporting skills you will bring your systems thinking to support the work we are doing to implement our workforce strategy.

Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, upgrades and ongoing support of HR Information Systems across our People and Performance team which includes Safety and Risk, Human Resources and Organisation Development.

Responsibilities include:

• Identification, development and implementation of systems and tools to meet identified business and statutory requirements.
• Manage and maintain master data records and play a governance role in overseeing data integrity and data usage.
• Ensure the operational integrity of data, processes, integration of Human Resources Information Systems with corporate systems and management reporting
• Manage the identification of technical system requirements, implementation and maintenance of People and performance’s systems including security, upgrades, licencing and functional developments to enable effective and efficient operations.
• Promote the options available in the People and Performance systems to support efficient work flow, business decision making, data analysis, and management reporting.
• Provide guidance and support to users by investigating, analysing and resolving complex or challenging problems, testing anomalies to ensure correct procedures / processes are used and developing, documenting and implementing solutions
• Liaise with internal IT staff, other corporate systems administrators and software vendors to resolve database and or system issues, bugs or system failures, and manage system upgrades
• Research and maintain contemporary knowledge of developments, trends, legislation and issues relevant to the functional responsibilities of the role.

The successful applicant will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource and / or IT related field with relevant experience
• Experience in the development, implementation, administration and maintenance of an HR information System including internal control systems and system configuration
• Expert in use of Excel including advanced formulas and macros
• The ability to work autonomously in a proactive manner
• Experience in SAP HR system management and reporting is advantageous.
