In this newly created position, you will facilitate and support volunteer activities in Council’s bushland, parks and reserves ensuring activities are aligned with achieving native biodiversity and conservation. In addition you will maintain accurate data ensuring relevant information is available for reporting as well as being the key contact point to any community/volunteer requests.
The successful applicant will have experience in engaging and supervising volunteers, sound understanding of natural area conservation, an ability to gain cooperation and assistance from members of the public, community groups and other Council staff as well as an ability to deliver a number of project tasks on time in a busy demanding role.
