Waste & Resource Management Coordinator

Working as a waste and resource recovery professional at Blue Mountains City Council offers unique exposure to many aspects of the industry: two licenced facilities operated by Council (a transfer station and a landfill); day labour and contracted collection and processing services; a highly engaged community; environmental management in a World Heritage National Park; advocacy; and access to professional networks.

This position will coordinate and support the development, implementation and review of waste and resource management strategies in the Blue Mountains.  It will liaise with consultants, contractors and other government agencies, as well as multiple teams within Council.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be able to independently research, analyse and recommend options for improvements to the service.  They will preferably have current knowledge of the NSW waste and recycling industry to provide a professional advisory role to relevant staff within Council.

Salary:  commencing at $3200.67 gross per fortnight.
