Community Events and Activation Officer

The City Lifestyles section is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Community Events and Activations Officer to assist with the development and implementation of Council’s annual program of community events including, but not limited to, New Year’s Eve, Australia Day, Ingleburn Alive Festival, the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost, FEAST, and Campbelltown City Christmas Carols.
This position will assist with event planning, contribute to the development and implementation of policies and programs in relation to community events and activation that promote Campbelltown and support a sense of place and place making.
What we are seeking:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant job related experience in the events field.
- Understanding of protocol and political sensitivities as applies to events.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering major community events.
- First aid certificate or the willingness to obtain a first aid certificate.
- Understanding of risk management plans and control systems.
- Current class C driver’s licence.
