Economic Development Officer: Business Development
Band 6 ($76,285 - $83,528)
This full time position contributes to Council’s objectives to support and encourage existing businesses to develop to their full potential and provide advice to emerging and new businesses seeking to establish or expand in the Shire.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an ability to:
- analysis and report on relevant data to attract and retain businesses;
- provide professional advice and service to the development of strategies and plans to promote economic development, both within the Shire, and in the broader region;
- implement strategies that develop business programs and projects, including obtaining the necessary resources through Council, business, government, and community contributions;
- co-ordinate the implementation of key programs and projects as identified in the Economic Development Plan;
- implement and maintain the digital content and platforms that support existing and potential business of the shire.
Relevant experience in business and community development, finance, strategic planning or marketing would be highly desirable in the preferred candidate.
