An excellent career opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, capable and suitably qualified and experienced person to join the dynamic Upper Hunter Shire Council team as Director of Corporate Services. Reporting to the General Manager and as member of the executive leadership team, you will have a strategic approach for the operation and delivery of services for the group, provide a coordinated link between the group and the General Manager, to the Council, Councilors and Community and provide organisational leadership. This position is based in Scone and is critical to the success of Council.

To be successful in the role, you will have proven experience in providing leadership at a similar level in a multifunctional organization. Your understanding of accounting standards and local government legislation will be matched by an ability to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate projects including effective financial management and reporting. You will possess strong communication and people skills which will ensure effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
