Legal Advisor (Part Time) (Fixed Term) (Dalby)

About the Opportunity

Council is seeking a Legal Advisor to provide high quality legal and governance services across Council's diverse functions.   

This role is fixed term until 20 December 2024, and part time of 32.5 hours per week.

You will be:

• Providing a full range of legal and governance services, including the provision of advice, across all operational areas of Council.
• Assist with undertaking and managing complex commercial negotiations.
• Reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements and other legal instruments.
• Ensuring Council is compliant in all matters relating to legal risk management and compliance.
• Performing land tenure management activities, undertaking a broad range of tasks with the principle duties related to the acquisition, disposal and leasing of real property and providing advice on property matters.

About yourself

A person in this position will need to hold a relevant Law Degree or similar to be admitted as a solicitor in Queensland and be eligible to hold a QLS practising certificate to practice Law in Queensland, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience.
