About you and the Traineeship:

If you have a strong customer focus approach, can multitask, are adaptable, have excellent communication skills, keen to earn while you learn and have an ambition to work in administration, then this experience and training will be valuable in kick starting your career!

Over the course of the twelve (12) month Traineeship you will undertake structured training towards achieving a Certificate III in Business. You will work closely alongside Council’s Administration Officers learning many aspects of their day to day job, whilst developing valued skills and gaining practical hands on experience in Council’s administrative procedures and systems. 

Key criteria for you to be successful in this role:

  • Sound level of literacy and numeracy.

Eligibility: 

  • Applicants must not be currently registered as a trainee or apprentice with another employer.
  • Applicants must not hold a Certificate III or higher in a related field (e.g. Certificate IV in Business).
  • Applicants must not hold a Certificate III or higher in an unrelated field completed within the last 7 years (unless obtained during high school).
  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or have permanent residency to be eligible to work in Australia.

Benefits:

  • Wages paid in accordance with Order Apprentices and Trainee Wages and Conditions;
  • 11% superannuation; and
  • 9 day fortnight.
