Quarry & Gravel Pit Supervisor (Regional)

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading the mobile and gravel pit team of both staff and contractors in ensuring gravel production targets are met.  You will also provide supervision at the Quarry as required.

Reporting to the Quarry Coordinator, you will:

• undertake all requirements as Site Senior Executive for the mobile and gravel pits, and Jimbour Quarry as required;
• manage the planning and production of gravel from the mobile pit operation, whilst ensuring compliance with safety requirements;
• plan and identify future gravel sites ensuring strategic coverage for future sustainability;
• lead training, development and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure staff development and quality service delivery; and
• prepare reports on production outcomes and collect data for stocktakes.

About you

The successful applicant will:

• be eligible for appointment as Site Senior Executive (SSE), have a Certificate III in Extractive Operations, heavy machinery tickets/licences and a current open C class driver's licence.
• have extensive experience in managing all aspects of onsite activities whilst ensuring compliance with Mining and Quarrying Safety legislation;
• have proven leadership skills with a focus of maintaining optimum levels of product / equipment quality;
• have a strong understanding and commitment to relevant safety standards and requirements; and
• be able to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, Quarryman software and purchase order systems.
