Join Our Team as a Councillor Administrative Support Officer! Are you a dedicated professional eager to make a difference in local government? We're seeking proactive and motivated individuals to serve as Councillor Administrative Support Officers About the unit The Councillor Support team is responsible for delivering high quality administrative support, stakeholder engagement, communications, and program management under the daily direction of the City’s fourteen elected representatives to assist them in undertaking their duties. About your new role In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering exceptional support to the Councillor. Working closely with a southern Gold Coast based Councillor, you'll undertake various duties to ensure smooth operations and assist in fulfilling their responsibilities effectively. The role involves liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, providing information and assistance to residents, community groups, and businesses on City services and policies. This includes preparing Councillor Requests, conducting research, coordinating community meetings and events, attending events with the Councillor, distributing communications such as newsletters, and maintaining social media accounts. About you: To excel in this position, you'll need strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional time management abilities, a proactive attitude with keen attention to detail, and the capacity to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. Additionally, you should possess sound knowledge and practical experience with various business software, proven expertise in fostering positive interactions with both team members and the public to deliver outstanding service, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
