About your new role

The City is currently seeking multiple Change Management professionals to drive and manage organisational change initiatives. These opportunities are both ongoing full-time and fixed term full-time in nature and will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that ensure smooth transitions, foster employee engagement, and maximise organisational effectiveness.

In this role you’ll be spearheading comprehensive change management endeavours, the focus lies on orchestrating plans to bolster organisational initiatives. This involves engaging stakeholders across all levels to understand their perspectives, needs, and concerns regarding proposed changes. Crafting effective communication strategies becomes imperative to adeptly convey the rationale, benefits, and repercussions of organisational shifts to employees. The role also entails meticulously identifying potential risks and hurdles to change implementation and subsequently devising robust mitigation strategies. 

Providing guidance and support to project teams and individuals amidst change is essential to cultivate a resilient organisational culture. Oversight extends to monitoring and evaluating the progress of change initiatives, swiftly adjusting strategies as needed to ensure favourable outcomes. From conception to implementation, the role diligently supports change initiatives, facilitating seamless transitions and minimising operational disruptions. 

Collaboration with cross-functional teams remains paramount to analyse impacts on processes, systems, and personnel, thereby informing strategic decision-making. Efforts culminate in the development of comprehensive communication plans and training materials, fostering understanding and adoption of changes across the organisation. Proactively addressing potential risks associated with change efforts, the role refines processes through continuous evaluation and feedback to drive relentless improvement.

We’re looking for people who have:

We seek individuals with significant experience in HR or Change roles (such as generalist, OD, L&D, or similar), along with a minimum of 2 years' experience collaborating with senior leaders. The ideal candidate should have a track record of leading change projects and crafting high-quality change, communication, and capability plans, as well as facilitating change initiatives or teamwork interventions. Experience coaching leaders in 360 feedback and other behavioural tools is highly desirable. 

Proven expertise in change management or business analysis, particularly in fast-paced environments, is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, along with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. Candidates should possess a strong analytical mindset, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights. Certification in Change Management discipline and/or project/business administration is considered advantageous. 

Skills:

  • Ability to partner and influence leaders and business decisions to deliver project and engagement outcomes.
  • Strong coaching skills with the ability to coach the business on adapting to change and building engagement through change.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Solid change management, organisational design, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
