About the Opportunity

As our Communications Coordinator, you'll steer Council's external communications, embracing digital and social media, print communications and media relations. Your strategic vision will guide the development of communication plans, creation of compelling content and foster meaningful engagement with our community, ensuring clarity and impact in conveying Council's projects and services.

This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $111.8K to $125K (Band 8) plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic communications planning to elevate awareness of Council's services, initiatives, and events.
• Develop, execute, and evaluate communication campaigns across various platforms.
• Oversee social and digital media content, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with media representatives, managing inquiries with professionalism.
• Champion our branding and communication standards.
• Engage across departments, building internal and external relationships to support Council's strategic priorities and vision.

About You

You're a strategic thinker with proven experience in communications, adept at managing digital platforms and media relations. Your exceptional verbal and written skills allow you to translate complex information for diverse audiences. With strong project management abilities, you can navigate complex projects with ease, offering innovative solutions. Your expertise will provide invaluable support and direction to our Communications team, ensuring our message resonates across our community.
