About the team We are the Asset Custodian for the City’s stormwater assets totalling over $8.2 billion worth of assets including, but not limited to approximately, 2700 kilometres of drainage pipe, 250 kilometres of surface drains, 500+ water sensitive urban design (WSUD) assets and 500+ gross pollutant traps (GPT’s). Our stormwater team has substantial experience delivering minor local drainage fixes to major projects including large culvert crossings, bridges, and significant stormwater network upgrades. Working in this team will provide you mentorship opportunities to improve technical knowledge, learn from specialists in other disciples and grow as an Engineer. We coordinate and deliver strategic and tactical asset management planning, asset information and data management and contributed asset review and acceptance functions for the Department. What you'll be responsible for We are seeking an experienced Senior Stormwater/Civil Engineer who will contribute their expertise and operate with autonomy and limited direction from management. You will manage, coordinate and help to drive the planning of the City’s stormwater network through the preparation and implementation of the Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP), the development of capital and operational stormwater infrastructure concepts to improve drainage systems, the provision of technical advice and assistance to operations and maintenance teams, and provide advice as an Asset Custodian Representative in relation to the City's stormwater assets.
